Mr. Ralph Nemenla Sonkarlay is a Project Management and Business Development practitioner. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the African Methodist Episcopal University of Liberia, Master’s Degree in Project Management and Supply Chain from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland (United Kingdom) and Several Post graduate Certificates in Entrepreneurship in an emerging Economy, Digital Transformation in Government and Aligning Sales and Strategy from Harvard University of the United States of America.

Over the last 11 years, He worked as Technical Focal Point for the Department of Budget at the Ministry of Finance, a role that required him to coordinate the preparation of the country’s National Budget and execution. He was part of the team that developed Liberia’s First Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) Budget in 2014 focusing on Infrastructure development projects (Road, Energy, Port, Health care and Education) He also served as Director of Administration for Department of Budget for five years prior to graduate studies in the United Kingdom.
Before moving over, Mr. Sonkarlay consulted for the Jungle Energy Power Inc. as the establishing General Manager for the franchise of the Nimba Electricity Grid on behalf of the Liberia Electricity Corporation. As the Operations Manager, he increases the customer base from 700 to 25000 over the period of five years. Thereafter, he became a consultant on change management and Governmental affairs.

Upon leaving Jungle Energy Power he joined the Liberia Telecommunications Corporations as project Managing leading the firm’s fiber distribution and interconnection project across Montserrado and its environs. After eighteen months of hard work, he again got promoted to the roles of Director for Marketing and Sales.
While at the company, he developed different marketing and sales strategies, Sales leads, Marketing campaigns and spearheaded the launch the company first Mobile Network Operations using long term Evolution 4G solutions.

Mr. Sonkarlay is the 2023 Liberty Young Achievers Award recipient as the Most Outstanding Corporate Staff of the year.
Currently, Mr. Sonkarlay works for Liberia Telecommunications Corporation rebranded as the LTC Mobile as the Deputy Managing Director for Administration, a role dedicated to enhancing staff welfare and creating an enabling work environment across the corporations.
