About Isatu
I am Isatu Sonnie Bangura, a professional specializing in Management of Information Systems, data analysis, research, and project management, currently based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. With over eight years of experience in my field, I have dedicated myself to achieving professional excellence. My core values—empathy, integrity, discipline, and fairness—guide my interactions both personally and professionally.
Growing up in Freetown, I was profoundly shaped by my early experiences. After completing my secondary education at Annie Walsh Memorial School, I pursued a career in Business Management with a focus on Management of Information Systems through ABE UK, followed by Project Management studies with OTHM UK and the Project Management Institute (PMI). This educational journey has equipped me with valuable professional skills and significant experience.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with internet service providers such as Afcom SL, as well as international organizations like the Center for Management and Entrepreneurship (CFME) and the Rising Academy Network (RAN). These roles have not only influenced my professional perspective but have also allowed me to experience diverse working cultures both locally and internationally.
My personal philosophy is centered on empathy, faith, and inclusion. To maintain a balanced life, I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing games, which provide me with a relaxing and enjoyable outlet. These activities reflect my holistic view of life.
I am committed to giving back to my community and am actively involved in supporting secondary schools, a cause that is particularly meaningful to me. This work aligns with my mission to assist students facing challenges in subjects like mathematics and the sciences.
Looking ahead, I aim to focus more on information technology projects, leveraging my past experiences to enhance my capabilities in global technology initiatives that will benefit underprivileged groups.
