Established in August 2024, the PMI Liberia Chapter is a dynamic and thriving community committed to advancing the project management profession not only in Liberia but across the broader South Sahara Africa region. This chapter is the result of over two years of dedicated collaboration, strategic planning, and coordinated efforts by the Liberia Chapter Steering Committee, in partnership with chapter engagement officers from PMI South Sahara Africa. These efforts culminated in the development of the Multi-Year Business Plan (MYBP) 2023-2025, a blueprint for the sustainable growth and success of our chapter.

As the first official PMI chapter in Liberia, our commitment is to foster a culture of excellence and professionalism in project management. We achieve this by providing opportunities for education, professional networking, and skill development for our members. With approximately 65 registered members to date and a rapidly growing network of at least 131 prospective members—comprising both professionals and students eager to advance their project management expertise—we are poised for continuous growth.

Our mission at PMI Liberia is to create an inclusive, collaborative space where project managers at all stages of their careers can connect, learn, and grow. We believe in the transformative power of community and the value of sharing knowledge.
